Latin may be a dead language but it’s health phrase is still alive. The well known phrase “Mens Sana, Incorpore Sano” translates to “A sound mind in a sound body.”
Why is a healthy mindset so important? The relationship from our body to our mind is important to our health. Yoga practitioners have been exploring this concept for ages. Many philosophies have explored the mind-body theme in various forms of exercises.
Personally, I feel meditation is an important exercise in my life. Without meditation, I would not be able to bring myself to equilibrium. The mind is a beautiful thing and we need to understand how to take care of it. In this modernizing world where everything is in super speed, we need meditation to slow down and reflect. I feel the mind is made to pause, destress and reflect before it can take on more knowledge.
Do yourself a favor and try some meditation!
I loved coming come to watch my favorite anime cartoon “DragonBall Z.” One of Goku’s companions made a joke that went like this:
“You can’t tune a sandwich.
But you can Tuna Fish!”
What a melodious joke! All jokes aside, a tuna sandwich is my favorite sandwich. I’ve eaten tuna countless times. It’s tasty and it’s really good for you. Squeeze in some lettuce, tomato and pepper into the sandwich and you’re good to go! I’m getting my protein, my omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins and minerals all from tuna. Of course after my sandwich galore, I have to remember to eat a mint afterward.
I confess that I want to wear a shirt that says: “I heart tuna sandwich.”
